End of Summer Update

Well, Nolan has started his new school and loves it! They have a class guinie pig named Spike which Nolan gets very excited about. The kids get to pet him and help take care of him. We even get to take Spike home for a few days "Woohoo". Daddy's really excited about that!!! They also have a reading loft that Nolan adores! They get to go out to their little playground at the end of every day and Nolan always tells me "Mom we got to go to the park today". It is so cute. Bittersweet though because my little boy is growing up way to fast! He has really flourished in his new environment and I am very proud of him! Manoa is growing so fast as well. She will be 7 months on Monday. How did that happen? She is grabbing EVERYTHING in sight, even Nolan's hair! Yikes! She is scooting around the house in her little walker like nobody's business! She can really pick up speed! She is hilarious! She loves to squeal at the top of her lungs and then check out your reaction. She has her two bottom teeth now and it is so cute when she smiles! Gotta love those gummy smiles! We are sad to see summer come to an end but we are sure to have an exciting Fall!

Summer '08

We are having a wonderful summer here in Chicago. The kids are growing like weeds and mom and dad are just trying to keep up with them. Nolan turned 3 in June and had a fun digger birthday party. Grammy and Grandad came to visit and made the birthday party complete! Nolan is enjoying his time off from preschool and will return in September to a new school closer to home. He is newly potty trained and we are very proud of him! Manoa is 6 months old now and just cut her 1st tooth. She was such a trooper! She is also trying to sit up by herself and is able to balance for a few seconds on her own. Hope you enjoy our new blog!
